Fuji S2 Pro advice

Is there anybody in the Surrey area who would be willing to spare a few hours giving me advice as to how I can get the best out of my S2. I am relatively new to SLR photography and bought the camera as a pre retirement present and specifically to photgraph my grand daughter.
