For your reference, this picture was taken on the Bornoe Island, the site of the most important archaeological site in Southeast Asia. More precisely, it was taken at the entrance of a complex and honeycombed cave system in the Niah Caves National Park, where extraordinary remains of 30,000 years old prehistoric humans and more than one million
amazing bats are found.

I hope the link works. Photo following. Image has been reduced to web size, about 500KB, please be patient if you have a slow connection.

I welcome any feedback. Created on CP5000 with 19mm Converter.

Great shot! I like the colors of the ground contrasted with the green. Looks like you sharpened a lot. How many photos did you use to make this and what program? Great photo though

Yes I have sharpened a bit on the web size photo, the original has a lot of details that are lost when reduced to this size.

I use Realviz Stitcher to do this, and it took me 36(!) photos to make this shot happen.

Thanks for the compliment.

By the way, the original file is about 250MB uncompressed. It took 2 days (with some off time) of my poor pc's computing power to render the stitch.

Beutiful pano. The scene is gorgeous and you've done a great job of keeping it's dynamic range under control. That can be difficult enough for a single photo, let alone when stiching 36 frames together. I almost expect to see a brachyosaurus in the distance, nibbling on the tree branches. What I wouldn't give to be sitting in one of those cabins right now, rather than here in my office looking out over well, the hallway that leads to my office :)

Did you use a panohead on this?

Yes a pano head was used, it was the Kaidan Spherical head. Also, at least 10 images of the 36 had to have 3-4 images stacked on top of each other to increase the dynamic range. In the original images, anything outside the cave, sky, trees, is totally blown out white.

Thanks for the compliment.

Great shot! One of the most interesting and beautiful panos that I believe I have ever seen. This is one of those shots that (if I had made it) would be right over the monitor in my office.

Btw, which ones of the 100 or so shots (including the duplicates with different exposures) you would like to see?

Hey Bud,

Nice to know that my little photo can be of inspiration. Thanks!
Btw, what actions are you "fooling" with?
I've got a complete set of Mitered frames that Danny Raphael wants to release with the new Mega Collection from DPR..probably the middle of next month. He also has a super FAQ sheet on making/redooing/modifying actions.

I've also got the above mitered frames in a set for Elements...this has been the problem child. I've wanted to make them both work in Elements and also PS6. A bunch of stuff works in PS7, but gets screwed up in PS6....I believe I've got them figured out pretty well. Just want to test them some more then give them to Danny and let him release them.

Wow that sounds like fun testing all the softwares you got there. Anyway I can be in the testing group too?
