Has anyone used the Sony 2x teleconverter lens on the f717. How about the Canon 1.75 x. There's about $200 price difference, so I'm wondering why to spend that for an extra 60 mm of zoom.

just bought the can tc-58, good results, bought it for 110.00 tried a real cheap one, returned it, images were not sharp, they are sharp with cannon
cannon is a 1.75 converter, seems to be a good match.

That's good to hear, as I just bought the same lens. I am wondering why canon or someone else doesn't produce a higher teleconversion lens, like 3x or so in 58 mm size. Especially since this is the standard thread size for the canon lenses.

--I have been using the B-300 a and it is awesome. Olympus will be releasing the TCON 17 later this month and they claim the glass is better than the B-300 we will see.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with what the B-300 is. Or the TCON 17. Please let me know more.

Thanks
