Got back to my favorite spot on the globe on Martha's Vineyard again last weekend. There is a lovely pond near to me there, that I look forward to spending a lot of time capturing. 17-35 AF-S/S2, 12MP fine, org/org/hard. Could have used a graduated ND....Peter

Just wondering why you chose this lens for this particular shot? I would never have guessed you used a super wide angle lens for this shot since the crop is very tight, maybe a little too tight. The head on the lower swan doesn't look connected to the body in the corner.

Nick- Good point about the decapitation. It's just the lens I was walking around with looking for landscape shots. In fact, I was sort of forcing myself to use it as I am always going for much longer focal lengths, and I need the practice with wide angles, as I guess this shows! Obviously I cropped this to get the lines/contrast with the plants and water I wanted. Thanks for the feedback....Peter

I'm the opposite. I tend to reach more for my wider angles than my longer lenses. Boy, it must tough having so many good lenses!

(now I see why my GF keeps reminding me... one's enough! ).. but then who knows what she was talkin' about! ;-)
