It's official . . . I'm published

Congratulations.. great job!
Well, the songwriter says the check's in the mail for the image to
use on his CD cover, anyway.

Here it is (low rez)

it's 5"x5", and the red lines indicate where it will be cut down to
4.75" x 4.75" (pretty sure that's the standard cover size).

Woohoo. Boy, I can quit the day job and retire now. NOT! lol

See, you can make money on front-focused photos: look how the title is sharp and how head is soft.

if you take the time to do something urgent, make sure it is important .............................

That's the 50/1.4

ISO 1600
f/1.4
1/400 sec

What was I thinking?
Should've been ISO 800 and 1/100 and f/2

Doh!
who's got the shots, lift the lenses, salute, (shutter echos), patt
on the shoulder, oh does it hurt from luggin all the gear,...and
they did'nt even pick the shot, from all the good ones you would
have picked,...good think it's not adobeed beyond recognition,...
and now you can put a CD in your collection, next to your 400
backup CD's, this one has music on it, and a 150dpi, 4.75" photo,
with no credit on it, .... but you can always keep the case, and
put the real backup cd with the raw file in it,....
eh, one more, oh wich lens did you use, f-^$stop, just kidding,...

congratulations, handshake, nice shot,

That's nice, David. I don't know country music much, but you sound like a rising star!!!

When you decide to become a singer, let me know, I'll be by your door ready to accept your lens collection as a donation.

LOL

Great job!

Yep, that's me. Completely naked.

Apologies to Rob Crosby and Allen Shamblin (the writers).

Unfortunately, I can't write (or sing, really)

The bridge on this song is just amazing:

You know each of us is broken / somewhere deep inside
And we're really not that different / if you strip away the pride
We've all got our struggles / the chains that we can't break
And you never know the difference / one simple prayer might make
That's nice, David. I don't know country music much, but you sound

As it turns out, a performer named Ty Herndon ended up with this song on his album. Never was released as a single.

I never cared for the way he did it, though. Rob Crosby does it much better.

At least it made an album cut.

It is a very nice shot. Congratulations on the cd cover. Do you have a release date for the cd? Any other info on the artist?

It's about cameras, right? ;) "each of us is broken... we're really not that different" LOL

Thanks.

I think the CD will be ready in a month or so.

The exact quote: "p.s. It's still going to take a while to get everything together, but I'll send you your c.d.s just as soon as they're ready.JM"

Jimmy Melton is a songwriter in Nashville. He's co-wrote a pretty big hit for Mark Chestnut last year called "She Was".

The CD will be a very low-volume one. As far as I know, he doesn't have a website. Maybe that will change. I'm sure the only way to get it will be to pick one up in Nashville if you hear him play, or if he gets a website and sells them there.

Or maybe I can peddle a few. LOL.

Somehow I have to convince Kylie to cut a CD and use this as her cover

Same venue, too.

According to Wood Newton, many album covers have been cut there. I wasn't aware of that. I need to get some details.
I know how ya feel, having been recently published for the first
time as well.......now, to follow up?
