Hi y'all,

Just picked up an Optio S yesterday from Costco here in San Diego. Amazing, amazing gadget...

Spent a couple of hours going through every detail in the manual, playing with the amazing number of actually useful features on the camera.

Does anyone know exactly what the "Self Portrait" picture mode does? Its one of the picture modes along with Flower, Portrait, Snow, etc. This is distinct from the self-timer useage, not well explained in the manual. Actually, the whole "Picture mode" explanation is pretty vague...

What is really wonderful about this camera is that not only does it have nearly every " I wish I could do..." feature I've wanted to have on a compact digicam, but it implements the feature with a very intuitive user interface, which makes you actually want to try out doing 3D photos, panoramas, etc.

Cheers,

Ava,

I was wondering if the camera you purchased at costco came with memory? i'm thinking of getting one today. Thanks,

Aram

Yes, it cames with a 128 MB SanDisk card as well as the Pentax leather case. They were just included in the box. Costco also has a really good deal on 256 MB SanDisk SD cards, they are ony $64.99.

Cheers,

Michael
