the excellent photo makes it look pretty cool…

I am just about out of that vomit in a can Hills Brothers, and was going to post a question to Brendan about which canned coffee he would recomend to somewith with a lowley Bunn. I only make it to my Coffee Shop once a week for the real stuff.

Hmmm... do you have a Trader Joe's near you? They have a fairly-good selection of beans that you can grind on-site if you want. Another option with a larger selection of beans would be either a Peet's or a Starbuck's, where you can again get the coffee in bean form or ground.

What sort of roast do you prefer?

...and get a couple pounds of Dolce from Espresso Vivace:
https://secure.speakeasy.net/espressovivace/blends.html

When they arrive, put one pound (they come in 1/2-pound bags with a 2-pound minimum) in the freezer and go to town with the other. Don't let any beans sit in the open for more than a couple of days. Only have out what you're going to use in the next 48 hours or so. Pull your shots so you get about 1.5 ounces in 25 seconds, and never pull into the white -- that dreaded, bitter white ick that the espresso stream turns into when overextracted.

Vivace Dolce will blow your mind.

A cool tool for the caffeine fiend...
