They decided to re-commission this tank and join the war effort.

This is the tank that will take least resistance well....

"It served us well 60 years ago and it'll serve us now"

Is that a Pershing tank? At least it's better than the T34/85's that dominated the battlefield in the early part of the 1990's Balkan War, until the NATO stepped in with real weapons.

Tanks were of little significance in the Balkans, even in the areas of the former Yugoslavia suited for tank warfare. They were used primarily as guns. The American 105mm self-propelled gun, given to Yugoslavia in big numbers after 1948, was probably more effective than the tanks.

M60A3 Patton Series
105MM main gun.

Marine Expeditionary Force fielded 210 M60A1's to support the Suadi-Marine effort into Kuwait City.

your tank is less than 60 years old and probably still works....

our one needs a new "ford pinto" engine and some petrol.

I think that when the gun goes off a british flag still pops out of the barrel.

Hey! Easy on T34/85! It was good enough to take Berlin, and it was still a useful weapon 55 years later in Yugoslavia, while the Sherman tanks and the Panthers can be found only in museums!

Way out of topic... But so is all this thread.
