Has anybody here used E-10 for shooting theater plays?

I’m being approached for this kind of work and I am unsure of E-10 capability due to low ISO.

Those are all ISO320 with no noise reduction.

Hey Gage I knew it you're in buisness...hehe

Thanks, this is better than I ever expected, hmm, okay mine will be probably 10 times worst but this looks better than I saw on Canon forum from Canon cameras (yeah than GageFX haven't got 10D yet).
Thanks I really appreciate
Sunny

No monopod and that was a big matter of debate back when I first posted these. I dont own a monopod and I dont care to. If you own one go ahead and use it. You might be able to get to ISO160 w/ the monopod.

These were handheld...

They were all wide open (f2-2.4) and exposures range from 1/40 up to 1/160.

Here is a link to the thread they originally appeared in.

Good luck.

(I haven't tried with the Canon yet, but I am fairly certain I will be able to do MUCH better with the Canon.)

You are my shining star. I HATE MONOPODS! But I did expect you'll encourage me to get one. I rather have beans on my photos, sorry grains on my photos than walk throughte theatre with that stick.

Thanks for the post!

Yeah I know, when i came back to it I found how stupid I can be the question was simple I just got all messed up trying to say to many things in too short sentences (kind of hectic mind and I can't follow), but anyway I kind of got an answer that I deserved.

Basically the question was:"how much do you montague your photos and do you montague your photos at all?". But still it wasn't clear what I thought because When you shoot war in Afganistan for example do you montague nice blue sky on the overcast day just to make photos to man liking?

Or would you rather use filter to hide pimples on women face or would you take it as it is?
huh, don't worry I can't grasp it either .

heeheehee.

Dont feel bad about the language thing. As humorous as it can be, you speak English 1000x better than I speek ANY other language.

As for war photos, I would take them AS IS. If they were going to report the war I would PRESENT them AS IS. If, later, I decided to do an ART exhibit using the war photos I might decide to alter them for artistic effect.

I think it's less about the photo and more about how you present it. If you present it as your "artistic view", then do what you want. If you present it as the way things ACTUALLY WERE or HAPPENED, then present things as they ARE. PS alterations to help achieve that goal are okay. If you shoot with a Fuji, the colors will be exagerated and that isnt "TRUE", so using photoshop to make it "more true" shouldn't be a problem.

As others have said, there are so many tricks you can use just with the camera and lens that you cant accept ALL photos straight from a camera as "true".

Make sense?

What's wrong with monopods? I have one left over from my days doing video with a Canon L-2 and it helped a lot...

I haven't used it since I went back to still photo, but there are times...

I've found that having a big stick with a padded handle's great for keeping critics in line and boogeymen at bay... ;-)
