I spent a little time playing today....

It was the first (real) spring day in our part of the world and I had a chance to spend a little time outside.

Took some photos and then spent a little time this evening putting together an image that tries to translate my thoughts into a visual representation of my day and my feelings.

I've put together a tutorial for this image but will not post it unless there is enough interest to burn up the bandwidth.
So what do you think... am I getting my point across?

I love your whole image.

Greetings:

As you might know... there is several ways to do the same things in PS and editing programs like it. These different ways to get from point "A" to point "B" are normally directly impacted by the skill level of the user. In your case, I'm sure you can draw the basic shape needed to make the cube (I know I can). But I'm not sure that is the point... In my mind, I create things like this image to show people that it’s okay to think a little "out of the box" so to speak.

So at the end of the day... What you can do or what I can do is not the point. The point is to get the user who is struggling with the whole post editing process and get them thinking about what is possible and what can be done. If that means, creating a tutorial that walks them through a process and teaches them what is possible. Then down the road, they will come to a forum like this and show (us) all something that will just blow our socks off.
Well that's my .02

Hey Cad...Wassup...wrong side of the bed this morning ?

Your a AutoCad Draftsman...Right ? I think that the schooling for that would cross-over somewhat to photoshop...Right ? At least it appears that way from you post,as they are exellent. But the rest of us dumb smoes...aka...."newbies" need a little more help for a three point perspective :-) (somewhat) 3d cube, and a more thorough tutorial would be nice. I personaly would welcome thus said tute. :-)

Best Regards....Matt K

what your issue is here sport...
But I for one seem to be getting a little tied of it.

This forum is made up of people who are willing to spend a great deal of time and energy assisting others in the learning process. If I offer a tutorial for any type of process... I'm simply continuing that tradition on.

If for some reason you have a problem with that or with me. Then I would subject you send me an Email and we can work it out. But taking personnel shots at me for whatever reason just seems stupid from my standpoint.

I'm sure the good people who frequent this forum don't need to put up with what ever your issue seems to be.

If at the end of the day... you are not interested in either what I've got to say or what I might or might not post. Then please just watch for my name and you can circumvent my activity on this forum.
Thank you for your time in this matter

Sport..Rofl..I believe I complimented your picture.I ask did question why the use of perspective that can be found in this tute or many more.

http://robouk.mchost.com/tuts/tutorial.php?tutorial=3dbox

I am not attacking you by saying these techniques are well recorded. Alot of ppl post tutorials here to help others. Just recently was a post of many sites. PPL also post tutorials by indivduals and give credit to the person. You by all means are very helpful with the time and effort you put in by copying those technigues. Im sure many never seen the box or cube tech before and your help was well recieved. Using three trapiziods is a easy ( for this guy) method. Easier is using illustrator. Easier is using a 3-d program. In dimension alls I would have to do is click on the box tool. But you will show ppl exactly how to create that effect with a very through tutorial. Btw someone should write an action if its already not done.. The frame actions are incredible and cut thru all the layers needed to create those works of art. I did see you posted your frame tutes. Sorry if you didnt like my perspective question. I was just asking a question.
