Still busy with photographing swans, I went there today for the sixt consecutive day, it's stronger than myself. Here one of yesterday evening, I like to photograph them now after sunset just before complete dark. I will add two more as the first has really a to sad mood.

Hi Dirk,

the first one has a very good title, which adds to the pic. I've seen the rest also, but didn't have time to react yet. I liked almost all of them, and loved more than one. May I ask where exactly you found so many swans together? They are royal in water and impressive in the sky, and that shows from your images.

with kind regards,

I really dig that third image, makes me wish I'd thought of using motion instead of trying to get tack sharp wildlife pictures. Really nice stuff, I'd be proud if I were you.

Hi Dirk,

Each photo is very special. The first is soft and flowing which is contrast by the strong black and bright bird in the second image. The reflection in the second photo is beautiful, I would like to see it level. The last photo is terrific, just sharp enough to work and the blurred movement of the wings is great.

You are correct that we are an ocean apart, but doing the same things, it would be great to have the opportunity to do it together.

Hi Dirk,

Good compositions in all three. The first two set the stage emotionally and the third throws in a totally different concept using the swan's motions to create an image that is completely about movement. All three indicative of your photographic intent while taking the shots and very well executed. The shutter speed on the last shot is perfect.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your kind aprpeciation and the first and third are taken very late just before complete dark, I love them also very much and even when it's difficult to get good shots with so less light I will try some more of these kind in the coming days if I find time.

The last one is my favorite. Wow. Fantastic picture -- it instantly evokes a tremendous emotional involvement from the viewer. Very intense and moody. Great job!

Hi Dirk,

You know that I have seen the last of the three already and commented on it.

I enjoy looking at these and am interested that you are at the moment taking lots of these birds.

I find the second picture very attractive, almost a graphic design on its own.
It is not what I would expect that the reflection is longer than the animal.
I have to think about that.

This photograph just stands on its own for me.
There is no need to say anything. :-)

Hi Greg,

I'm really addicted to photographing them, I was there already again today for about the ninth consecutive late afternoon and I added some new ones. Well I found them in Boom near Antwerp, if you must be interested I could mail you the exact address but in the warmer months there are none or very less, I think that it will be the last days that they are at that place. In the winter there are more than 100 at that place. I love to see them flying, they are about the biggest birds that can fly. Thank for the appreciation.

With very kind regards,

Dirk
