american flags

this isn't an all american forum.

take your flag issues somewhere else.
Take your political problems else where. If someone said post you
French image, it would be rude to comment otherwise then okay.

Being a private public forum, take your comment of complaint to the
webmaster and let him decide what he'll allow on the message board.
Any action/complaint other then that, then you're the one who's out
of place.

Here's my image and I'm proud to be an American among all the hate
America sentiment.

I didn't and don't oppose it.

I merely stated that inappropriate flag waving was insensitive to others feelings.

I've had my head bitten off here for calling Paypal Nazis.

Too much flag waving rhetoric is sometimes hard to take for non US people.

That's all..... no big drama.....

Beer anyone??
years or so, so it's better to leave them to it... lol
Ok, so why oppose us so strongly when we step up to take care of it?

Rob sounds like a fine person. Through this back and forth I've seen that we probably would agree on many things.

I like the Thai colors, red white and blue.
next time I'm in the USA.....

Although if they spot my subversive comments I might get jailed... lol
We have had many people die to allow you to speak your opinion. You are welcome my friend in the US. I think that we could have long heated, but peaceful, discussions.
How about a Thai Flag . .

Blablabla. Saddam has been around for a quarter of a century
because the US backed him all the time with money and arms.
Secondly, seven years of arms inspections have resulted in 90 to 95
% of Saddam's arsenal being destroyed thoroughly by the UN
inspectors. If you believe anything else, you're an advocate of
propaganda.
That's it, take me on but don't condemn anybody else's behavior. Don't say anything about the UN's cowardice. Don't comment about putting Kadahfi in charge of human rights. Don't comments about the Russians, Germans and the French selling nuclear technology into Iraq. Don't comment about N. Korea. Don't comment about rampant AIDS in Africa.

You invalidate yourself by you myoptic bias.
Therefore, 9-11 was a only a pretext to attack Iraq. If you don't
see that, you're stupid.
And it's a pretext I agree with. Everybody complains that we put Saddam in power, why is everybody getting so upset that we're now taking him out of power. Makes sense to me if that's your real complaint.
Know what I think? Flag-wavers are nationalists (you call them
patriots, right?) whose brains have sunk one meter. They're all
over the place in your country these days.
Yeah, they sure are at that seems to bother you. Why should another countries patriotism bother you. I see Greek flags flying in Greece, why are you complaining about all the flags in Greece. Me thinks, because of the lack of comment about others that you have a visable chip on your shoulder. Hey! Leave it there if it serves you well. As to the brain power. Funny how for a country so stupid, we seem to be waaaaaaaaay out in front of the pack. I suppose that's just a statistical fluke and will settle out over the next few years. Keep holding your political breath:-)
Oh, and don't start again about WWII, will ya? Europeans can't be
blackmailed.
Aaaaah, never said anything about W.W.II but Belgimu does owe us and will until the end of time. It sure wasn't France's effort that saved your country. And if the English and the US had failed, your country wouldn't exist. Get use to the facts. Stop being hateful so we can all get along.

I love the whole freaking world. I can't understand this love for hate and hate for love.

everything......

cheers!!

Oh, please don't open that kettle of fish!

I know someone here in the UK who refers to the Jack as the butchers apron.

Personally I think it's a great flag.

It all depends on your politics.

Sadaams camera equipment on ebay soon now that we are literally in his palace. Think he's a Canon or Nikon guy?

The only reason that I'm replying to this post is to correct misinformation.
Rich, for the record, I continue to like and even admire many US
citizens, a number who are personal friends. I doubt that
percentage-wise I like or dislike US citizens than those of other
countries, including my own.

Like many US citizens I do not agree with many US policies,
Not many. This is a small segment and the simple fact is that most Americans support taking Saddam out of power. Have you seen all of the support here in the US or just the demonstrations? Last I heard it was around 80% that support the war. Your many should be some.
including ones that are currently affecting all people of the world.

What I and other members of this CANON SLR forum DO NOT LIKE is the
posting of innapropriate topics in this forum and the lack of
respect for other forum members from other countries.

Phil should delete some whole threads, frankly. I'd be thrilled if
he deleted this one.

The photo I posted took place (apparently) at a US political
convention, and to be clear it is not my own. It is from the
website that I linked. I'm not sure why that doesn't show up in the
page; I was expecting it to.

peace,

a. got a passport?
b. Been out of america (and not Hawaii or Guam or Mexico)?
c. lived out of America?

If not, then your comments and political dribble about leftists is as Thomas might say, invalidated. If the media was so anti bush then how did he get away with it??
The leftists in the world are motivated to howl against the USA for
the following:

1- They don't really care if Iraq and terrorists have WMD because
they will not be the target. The US will be the first victim of any
NBC attack.

2- These people were somewhat pleased to see the US get hit on
9/11. Many think we deserved a comeuppance, and would like to see
us get hurt again because we lack humility.

3- You can't really blame much of the European population for
thinking this way because of what they read in their media. Fueled
by irresponsible Democrats in this country, they believe that our
president is a teenaged moron who stole the election. (Harvard BAs
aren't given away without merit, and Yale doesn't award MBAs to
morons.)

4- Democrats, and hence 95% of the US media, are afraid of any Bush
success. This fear motivates their cries of "What if?" Their
greatest motivation is the 2004 election, which is seriously
threatened by any Bush success in Iraq.

Bush scares these people because he deals with issues in a straight
forward manner, avoids double speak, and ignors conspiracy
theories. Lay out the facts, and Hussein must go. Liberals deal in
emotion, not logic.

When Clinton bombed Iraq, all of the leading Democrats and their
mouthpieces were on the record as being squarely for eliminating
Hussein. Now that a conservative is president, they are
contradicting their previous statements, just so that they can
oppose Bush. Doing so is a betrayal of the best interests of the
USA in favor of partisan politics.

Poor Europe has only the liberal point of view to judge what's
really happening in this country.

Finally, this forum is skewed to the left by the presence of so
many from the arts community. They tend to enjoy conspiracy
theories, and think our leaders are motivated by oil. If the US
was in Iraq for the oil, we would have taken it in 1991.

We can only hope that open minds will prevail, and that the USA
will be judged by our actions after the war, and not by the inane
prattling before.

We recently put up a flagpole in my front yard with Old Glory
riding in the wind. Damn! I wish I had taken a picture!

Most folks I have known would take your statement "Get a life and
develop some personality..." as a flat out insult and not as
"constructive suggestions".
My message contains both - my judgment (a clearly negative one) of "we"-type of philosophies plus a constructive hint.
They would see your subsequent claim
of "constructive suggestions" as backing off of the original
insulting words and an attempt at saving face, at saying "what I
really meant was..."
No, not at all - I mean that "we" talkers are cowards with personality problems.

Why? You don't have to be dead to have an informed opinion about death. You logic is not linking.

If the media was so anti bush then how did he get away with it??

Get away with what? You retort assumes that Bush has 'gotten away' with something.
