I'm getting the sneeky suspicion.....

The 10D seems to follow the 1Ds´s more professional approach
And I think that's what it comes down to, and that's a big reason I bought it. It isnt a PnS shooter's camera and too many PnS shooters are shooting with it. If the camera didnt come with all the auto settings I would be much happier, but then all the people complaing about color would be complaining about overexposure as they try to shoot outdoors in the sun at f3.5, 1/15s.

What can you do?

You can see the color difference effect here:

It's the colors of the 10D have been changed from the D-60. They
brightened up some colors but others are the same. You can see the
effect in most photos.

To me the brighter reds and blues tend to make many photos look
more toyish. Most people seem to be happy with it though.
My mind, like most, is geared towards the saturated colors and opposed to the matted colors but saturated colors burn the mind out faster than matted colorings do.

Go figure.

Yesterday I dropped a print off to be mounted and framed. The more desirable image was the image printed on matte paper as opposed to the glossy version.

The glossy version showed the wet look better but the print quality of the matter version was better because of saturation of ink problems.

I like glossy, I can't help it if the world wants matte:-)

Now if I can only find a more reasonably priced custom framing shop:-)
