Hello, I have a CP5000 and I would like to know if it is worth it buying the slide-copying adapter ES-E28. Is the quality good enough to make 30x20cm (12x8in) prints for an exposition (not just snapshots)? I am not only concerned about the sensor’s resolution, but also the lens’ sharpness in the corners.

I know I could always buy a professional film scanner, but I was looking for a cheaper solution.
Any info is much appreciated!
Thanks!
Guille

A good scanner does not have to be expensive. Try the Minolta Dual Scan III for about $300.00. Its resolution is 2800+ with good color and dynamic range. The result is definitely better than what you can get with the ES-E28. I say this because I have used them all. You will be surprised to learn the quality of this Minolta Dual Scan III. IMO, it is the best 2800+ scanner.

You should also check out the Epson Perfection 3200, as if money is an issue then this will be more versatile for you.

I know Guille but try to get the local Kodak dealer to special order one for you. Or, if that don't work get someone in the USA to get it for you and mail it to you.
