So, they finally admit it, huh? I was wondering when they'd drop that June/July BS. Sill, PCMall.com expects shipments on April 4, not exactly the "end" of April, but close enough. I just hope some review samples get out before May (my Las Vegas trip, good use for high ISO functions).

I wouldn't be surprised if PC Mall delays the camera to the end of April.. I wouldn't get too excited for an early release just yet.

ssdonline has just shifted their release date back 1 month from May 1 to June 1. Both ssdonline and amazon were accurate w/their Minolta f300 release dates. Perhaps PCMall.com will have gray market items?

What is that exactly? I'm unfamiliar with the term. Are they full fledged production models, or preproduction samples found in a dumpster? Also, how would one be able to tell if it's legit or not?

Grey market products are products which are bought by the reseller abroad, so noy from the importer / distributior in his own country.
This might be cheaper sometimes but mostly the warranty is void in the country your purchased it in.

They did confirm that they expect 15 units TOMORROW, and further backorders to follow. However, their return policy is only 15 days, and that is kinda unsettling. Maybe it's just me though. Any thoughts (or better yet, anybody willing to give 'em a shot)?

Hmm... So, at least 15 people have already placed an order for F700. I wonder how many are on this forum and can post a few pics.

George, placing an order is very very different from actually shipping them . I wouldn't be so sure that those 15 cameras are for real in stock or shipped already, when virtually nobody has the F700 and Fuji says (for USA) late April/early May.

Well, I think we're just anxious to hear from Michael about his order. He said that he's number 15 so should be getting his camera soon if PCMall delivers.
