Zoom ring too tight??

I just received my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L IS lens from B&H. The lens looks brand new, IS works great, and the picture quality is awesome. The focus ring is very smooth, but the zoom ring is tight, much tighter than my 70-200mm, F/4 lens. I remember someone else here complaining about the same problem. Is there anyway to adjust the tension on the zoom ring? Basically, I'm trying to decided whether I should call B&H and exchange for another one.

Maybe this is the same as me Sigma 70-200. I first thought it was tight too but realized I was 'squeezing' and turning instead of just turning. With a light touch, just turn the ring and it was easy. Hope that helps.
