Can you adjust the shutter sound on 10D. If, you can turn it off how much noise does the shutter/mirror make?

On Non-DSLR's I can get a silent picture, contraty to my A-1 SLR. How quite can the D10 get?

Thanks

You can't turn it off as it is a real mechanical shutter and mirror.

yet Jim's right. It's a real honest to goodness mirror and shutter. So the sound is the sound. No adjusting it, and no sound of a film winder on a digital camera. (never quite grokked the point of that silliness)

Any DSLR beats unexposed film.

Yes, not everyone appreciates it. I often want to be as discrete as possible and not attract attention. But, I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm.
You wouldn't want to shut it off.

It's such a beautiful sound...click, click, click...

I can hear it now...click, click, click.
