I've use SnagIt to grab images of screens in certain situations, and it works fine, but it is a bit expensive and fully featured for what I really need. Is there a simple freeware untiity for grabbing screen shots around?

Thanks

I don't know what exactly are your needs, but what about PrintScreen key? It copies content of your screen to the memory. Then you need just a graphic softver and paste (ctrl+v) it.

Fero,

Use your printscreen key and then open paint. paste image into paint and then save as whatever, bmp, etc.

My first time into a forum and am looking for advice regarding PSP vs PS.
Hope the above helps

The PrintScreen button works, but I like using XnView as a viewer and screen capture tool.

I use PrintKey 2000 and find that it does the job for me. You can
get it here: http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?ID=292
I also use PrintKey2000. It is one of those three or four programs that I would not want to be without. It is excellent ! !

I found situations where PrintScrn doesn't always work. One was with a photo embedded in a power point slide. Snagit worked great.

Yeah. Go to the FreewareWeb.com site and look at the nice little pop-ups. I especially like the one that is asking me to click the Ok button inside this DOS screen that wants to check my Memory...

Sweet..........

I like ScreenHunter 4.0 which I found at download.com. ( http://www.dowload.com ). Simple, free, works great. I keep a shortcut on my desktop.
