I hate it when...

I posted this in another thread...but I think we need a thread of
our own just so we can hate all that is worthy.
I hate multiple post
I really hate it when people take pictures of their animals.
you should not talk about their family like that
I also
hate it when Paul Andre or whatever his name is takes pictures of
his hot girlfriend and rubs it in all of our faces.
me too I would prefer that "she" rubs it in my face. I also hate that you did not post the link to that thread
Additionally, I
can't stand it when people look at a 100k jpg and think it can
actually tell ANYTHING about lens quality.
but it tell us about their brain's quality
Now that I'm thinking
about it, I don't like it much when people "say" they are
"thinking" about selling their equipment on ebay when they are
really just looking to get interest generated here.
who is selling what, where, and how do I get to go ?
I despise it
when people think a Mac is "the platform" to do "graphic" work on.
lot's of people still think so. But thinking something does not make it wright especialy when you think about their brain quality.
I hate it when my wife watches Celine Deion specials on TV which in
turn makes me post things like this because I'm so bored.
while her brain is hook to the numb box can you still use her body ? camera body that is.
I hate
the 75-300IS lens. I hate anti-war protest pictures.
yup, yup
Did I mention
I hate it when people take pictures of their animals?
yup
I hate the French.
hope you like french speaking Canadiens, our prime is going senile but that's life
I can't stand zoo pictures - even though I've posted them.
can't stand zoos any more myself
I hated that "How to get into nude photography" thread - it taught
me NOTHING.
I hate that there is no link to that thread, d@mn, oops ... sorry. did you try hiring girls from an erotic photo model agency ? You also need a killer (camera) body and a realy big lens, that impress the babe, also the more beautiful they are the easier it is to get them naked. But then if like me you are a teddy bear whit a crooked nose, a bit fat and smile like a perv you are out of luck.

Be careful, the first time a total stranger babe gets naked 2 feet from you in the studio it's hard for the earth.
I hate photosig.com because it is sooooooooo slow and
I can't search by keyword.
but it look good, the ratings are a joke but it look good, did I say it look good ? Wait for it to go "paying membership" now that peoples are hooked up. If only 1/100 of the users sign up they will be rich.
I hate it when people spend THOUSANDS
on their equipment and then complain about the cost of software to
use in their workflow..you know, the software should be free dudes.
I know, I am starting my studio but I was in the IT business for 17 years.
I think that covers it for now.

...then you´d have some serious problem on your hands. Though i kinda like this post, as it´s not about expecting, getting or sending back a 10D.

P.S.: Don´t tell me, you hate the Germans too, i know that already :)

I think I forgot to mention that I REALLY REALLY REALLY freaking hate it when people put all of their equipment in their signature which in turn screws up people just trying to find out information regarding equipment using the search function on this site. Now when I do a search for BG-ED3, I come up with a thousand posts that are absolutely meaningless. So then I post a question to the forum...asking something regarding the BG-ED3 since I've already found out the search is worthless...and then Juli Valley puts on her forum police hate and preaches to use search first. Sigh.
Is there anything else that you don't hate including yourself?

My pet peeve dating back to the D30 is people spending thousands on
the camera then posting here asking, "What cheap POS lens should I
put on the D30 (or D60 or 10D)? I spent all my money on the camera
and only have $35 left for the lens."
Makes you wonder about people's ability to think past their nose:-)

How about...

When people put their equipment list in their tag. I also hate it when the forum gets bogged down with rumors. I love it when people react to those rumors to buy the next worthless piece of junk to add weight to their bag. I love it when that piece of cr$p has problems and have no sympathy when it does. I hate it that their are some who think the only way to make it in photography is to join the porn industry. I hate when people on this forum act like everyone on it has this endless supply of disposable income. I laugh when someone sells their perfectly good 17-35 F2.8L to buy a 16-35 F2.8L (or 28-70 for the 24-70 swap, etc). I hate it when they insist in their desperation to add meaning to that trade that it is soooooo much better. I love Michael Long's posts. I miss Biggles. I hate that this forum sometimes becomes a magnate for my time that should be spent on enhancing my stock photos. I hate it when people post pictures that are against the rules without notice and my wife wonders what the hell I've been looking at. I love it when someone posts a truly amazing photograph, like the one of the premie in the Nikon Forum. I love zoo photos, but only if you can't really tell they were taken in a zoo. I hate that I can't just shut the f#$k up and go out and take some pictures!!!!

Okay, so maybe therapy isn't such a bad idea...

Maybe we should negotiate futher as their intent is not clearly
understood and if they're given just a few months more, we can come
to an equitable solution to the disagreement:-)
You're right! If we could just get a little better at diplomacy, I think it would be a lot more equitable for all involved, if we could steal their oil without having to spend $100 billion on a war first. A hundred billion dollars buys a lot of textbooks...

But then we wouldn't get to field-test our new bombs ... and we all know how much fun testing a new lens is!!

If the UN had their sh!t together, we could have spent that couple 100 billion (side thought: man, that IS a lot of cash!!!) on those text books.

Peace-out, word to your mother.

Well you're perfectly entitled to hate those things and rant about them here, but I don't think that comment about "hating the French" was appropriate at all. So you hate all French people? I assume you've met them all then. Sheesh, imagine if you said you "hate the Blacks"...just as bad in my eyes. Maybe I misunderstood that comment though (and if it was covered in a previous post, I didn't read them all).

Michael

P.S. I do agree with you on the "wow, your lens/camera must be great - that 640x480 image is sooo sharp" thing and the long expired notion of how Macs are somehow superior for "graphics". Bah! Another thing that sorta bothers me is when people say "great picture, you must have an excellent camera". You don't see people saying "Wayne Gretzky is an awsome hockey player...he must have a great stick." ;)
