i just bought an E-10. i just want to ask for some reconmendation of the rechargeble batteries. hopefully, i can get some very helpful informations from those experienced users. thanks very much.

Unless you want the "Big mama" (LIPO) then I would suggest the Digi-Pak DPS 9000. I use it and so do many others. A great accessiory for less than $40.00

So long as you don't use LCD too much, I find I get good performance from 2000 maH AA NiMh rechargeables.

Easily enough for an average (120 shots or so) days shooting.

Wasn't that why Best Buy stopped stocking them & blew out what stock they had? There are alternative battery packs similar to the DPS-9000. I just don't know if you can actually find this one anymore.

I think I heard that one of the battery companies (maybe Sanyo) is coming out with a CRV3 rechargable lithium. That would be the best choice. I would especially like the long shelf life and high voltage.

The non-rechargable ones are pricey, but they last a long time.

Yeah, I think Digipower went belly up. I love my DPS9000 and you might get lucky and find one laying around somewhere in a Best Buy or Ritz Camera. If you can't find one, get some Maha 2100mAh rechargeables from http://www.thomas-distributing.com and you'll be in good shape.

I have a couple that will be for sale along with my camera. I wouldn't mind parting them out (both together as I only have one adapter cable - I lose things).

Dont know what shipping to UK would be, though.

I got about 300 shots, maybe 30 with flash, out of my last set of CRV3s. They're not cheap, but they seem to do ok. I'm looking for a rechargable option, though, so I'm very interested in a rechargable CRV3.

I looked at getting a couple DPS-9000s because they were highly recommended to me, but Best Buy was out of stock. Also, I've never seen one in person, but the pictures I've seen of them on the camera make them seem like a butt-ugly bolt-on solution with a cable sticking out. Maybe I'm just touchy about looks and product integration, but the pics I've seen make it look like a shoddy, cheap-universial product, even if they do have great life for the price.

Did I miss something?

Yes, it is a cheaply made all plastic case. But it does work well and looks better on the camera than the external packs that have to be dangling on your belt.

Another good thing about it is it keeps the alignment of the tripod mount with respect to the lens. Something even the LiPo doesn't do.

thanks for your advice. i am thinking of go for the rechargeable AA first and wait for possibly rechargeable CVR3 or replacement LIPO. i think i can use AA on other devices as well. i am wondering long will the 1800AMH AA last if i donot use the screen at all. and how about with using flash oand without? you experiences will all be very helpful.
