Has DELL delivered to ANYONE?

Everyone is complaing about Dell. They offers deals, and honor them, but they take their sweet time. Typically they offer something nice and cheap and then batch up a bunch of orders to get a better deal with the distributor. If you don't like that, don't buy from them.
 
My salesperson asured me the camera would ship on 3/17; and sounded insulted when I asked if she was certain. I understand the pressures on them, margins, efficiencies, etc... but if you're not certain you'll deliver, don't say you're certain, ya know ? :-)

When I called to cancel my order today, the salesperson assured me they had them in stock, so I asked why can't you ship it on the due date then, and she did not have an answer.

That is a typical example of the kind of service you can expect from Dell.
 
The way it was told to me, was that Dell only received 200 on the 10D cameras. They emailed everyone about the 10% discount... and sold out in 15 minutes. Now everyone and their daddy is on a waiting list.

I called yesterday and was told that Dell has re-ordered from Canon but Canon doean;t have any to ship yet. No real word on when they are expected, since Canon hasn't shipped to Dell yet... so I was told. But I got on the waiting list anyways and they;ll extend me the 10% discount.

I'll be one of the last people to get one, no dount.
At this point has ANYONE here received or at least have had a 10D
shipped from Dell? You figure they should have sent out yesterday
at least 20 or 30. Anyone?

I have to disagree... I am a HUGE Dell fan. I've been buying computers from them for years... two in my room now. Had a hard drive crash last month... there was a new one at my doorstep the very next day!

However, it does seem that this 10D business has tarnished their reputation here. They've underestimated the demand and over extended their promises. Unfortunate, indeed... but not typical.
That is a typical example of the kind of service you can expect

Dell is just so big they cannot manage the immense product ordering. I just ordered a laptop and some accessories. The whole online system didn't know when it shipped or even if I ordered it. Really sad.

So based on the answers here nobody on this list has gotten a 10D shipped from Dell yet...not even 1. So DELL never had nor received any 10Ds as of yet, from what I can tell. Somebody on this forum would have had one already.
 
they used to be known for excellent serice but those days are long gone.

I bought a laptop from them last year. They screwed up the order so badly it would take me 20 minutes to type out all the mistakes they made(everything from billing me $2100 twice, to forgetting to install the CD-Burner & sending me the wrong one three times etc, etc, etc)

Their tech support is clueless, although that has become a problem with a lot of companies.

I spent over an hour on hold trying to get a live person at one point trying to straighten out all their screw-ups.

I've always loved Dell in the past, I will never deal with them again however even though after all the screw-ups where straightened out I love the laptop.

I ordered one during the feeding frenzy last week but still waiting. UPS delivering the one I ordered from J&R this morning! I called Dell to verify they still had my order (can't tell from their system). They still have my order and verified the sales price of $1,199 plus $24 for overnight shipping. At this stage, I dare not change even the shipping for fear the order will be totally lost. I think I have one of the cheapest 10D deals so far, if only they deliver!
So based on the answers here nobody on this list has gotten a 10D
