Then something is very wrong. A downsampled image should have less noise than the full size one from which it came. This is because a low pass filtering is performed before the downsample to avoid aliasing. This low pass filtering tends to filter out the noise, but you say it enhances it in your image.I use(d) Photoshop!!
Whatever problem you're seeing, I doubt it will go away by changing cameras. This is a post processing problem you're having.I'm not bothering with the 10D, I actually enjoy using the D60, and
my next will most likely be the 1DS.
