Dangerous cameras banned!

Oh yeah and mcd and places like that usually don't allow cameras probably so no-one could sue them for something :) my friend almost got thrown out for taking a picture of hes gf when they were in mcd...

The organizers are paranoid about anti-gun nuts (especially in the news media) using it for propoganda by portraying stuff completely out of context. I've never had any problems with their policy, although I've never had any real desire to take a camera in. I'm there to BS about guns, not cameras.
I went to a gun show this weekend (USA midwest) and decided to take
along my new 10D to do some shots of two models that were supposed
to be working a booth there. The crowd was moderate and many had
guns with them to sell or trade. I bought my ticket and then they
wouldn't let me in because I had a camera! WOW! When did cameras
become more dangerous than a redneck with an assualt rifle? Our
society is seriously psychotic. 100,000 square feet of guns with
half of them being military and I had the most dangerous weapon.
What is next a special "carry permit" for a pocket camera? I
carried a camera everywhere in Vietnam in 1969 and no one thought
that pictures were a security risk.

from Miami. It is sad that even comedians have to retract what they say when it affects their economy. And everything that you say does affect it. No matter what or if you are right or wrong.

Just 'cuz the Dixie Chicks sing country doesn't make them comedians, does it? ;)

I agree with Natalie's right to say how she feels.

I think I know how she feels, and she didn't really choose the right words to express that.

I also respect the right of the radio stations to pull their songs for what was said (esp. since 70% of the people here want the songs pulled).

I just wish it meant I could get great seats at a reasonable price! Hehe.

Unfortunately, I probably STILL couldn't get in with a camera.

Wish I'd seen them before they "made it". I hate big venues. But I figure with all this negative publicity, the concert might not be too crowded. Although July 30th is a long ways off.

Right after that, pull the trigger (with a round in the chamber) inside a 14x12 bedroom with no carpet.

OMFG!

You won't have to hit them, you'll deafen them.

PS -- contrary to Hollywood hype, a 12 gage shell of #6 birdshot, from about 12 feet away, leaves about a 1" diameter hole that penetrates 1 or 2 sheets of sheetrock, max.
How's that sound go again...... "KLACH, KLACH"

Nothing more needs to be said after you hear that sound:-)

When did Rednecks with a gun become dangerous. Most of the shooting are by gang bangers in the gettos or some unfortunate domestic situation but not by a blue collar worker that works in the Sunny fields causing their neck to turn red from the exposure to the UV of the Sun.

Try flying with a dog.

Try carrying a dog in your pocket.

Try taking a dog to the zoo.

in order to protect it's owners & criminals know it. You don't need a pitbull, as a happy-go-lucky lab will do. A only have mongrels & believe me, no one sneaks anywhere near our home & they could never get inside.

Nothing ends a standoff between the police & perp quicker than a dog. Criminals have learned from the police & even crack houses are often protected by dogs.

It's a personel decision, but I wouldn't carry a gun. I used to be a PJ & I've had some dicey assignments, but I never packed a weapon. Later in life I drove alone through the LA riots in an open top jeep photographing it with a Pentax 67. I was offered a handgun ahead of time, but I declined.

The funny thing about trying to insult rednecks: weez be too dumb
to knows weez bein insulted, so weez just laf along wit ya.
Because they where too dumb and bought their company stock
while the other white boys who get sun tans in beach chairs
where selling their stock.

The point we were trying to make was, sometimes people post the
aftermath/results of the war, not the cause that brought us to the
point of the photographs.
That's exactly what I ment with my comment "beyond your understanding of fair and balanced": You cannot justify Hiroshima morally by "netting" it with the killings that "led" to it: One dead on each side doesn't create a tie. That's pure nonsense from a moral point of view, and - much more important - doesn't make sense at all in the "normal" life of a "normal" person.

I'm not the greatest catholic, but the bible contains some very, very basic and extremly accurate descriptions of human nature. More importanly, the bible is one of the cornerstone of what we Westerners call "civilized" society; "revenge" is definitly not a value in our culture, on the contrary - as an Indian neatly summarized the most important part of the New Testimony: "Eye for Eye, Makes the World Go Blind". Jesus didn't beat the Romans on the battlefield... ...although I'm sure the Pentagon would tell you that they actually have evidence that would acutally proove the contrary... ...thanks to the French, the civilised world is spared that b&llsh1t in a UN Securty Coouncil meeting...

I'm not part of the anti-gun crowd, but it's foolish to think guns
are having a positive influence on our society.
If you need to protect your home, get a dog or two (not a viscious
one). Any police officer will tell you criminals fear dogs more
than anything.
As you probably know, I'm not a US citizen. I'm really lost when I hear about the whole US gun issue, and this dog issue you are emtnioning is even more confusing: Don't you have police over there? How fücked üp must US socity be if you have to defend your property yourself with guns and dogs? Hearing that, would kind of future society is the US planning for Iraq????

...if it wouldn't cost so much grieve, it would outright funny...
