I got my ir lens months ago but haven't used it til now,I was waiting for tons of snow to melt.I'm using my UZI for IR

This being my first IR pis if you have any suggestions let me know so I can get better.

This is just a very small country church but ironically a young lady lies in the cemetery to the left of the church killed in Desert Storm by an Iraqi sud missile when it hit her barracks in Saudi Arabia :-(

I didn't want to comment since I know nothing about IR (although I really like the effects of some of the ones I see). I like the tone of this one! I agree with wcheng, try cropping out that tree in the far right and see what that gets you? Maybe even go as far as cloning a bit of the background trees to cover the bottom if that kind of image manipulation doesn't bother you. Just my suggestions and they probably aren't worth much. :)

wcheng, yes I know the pine tree on the right screwed up the comp.some what but I think these trees show up so well in IR so I included it

I wanted to jump into this thread before it got too hot. I like it and the hell with everyone else. I don't even like Bill but he gets a lucky shot off once in a while ... unlike a certain Tim.

billy I think you shot this at a very good angle! I'm somewhat like you with the IR lens.....had mines for months and have used it just a couple times. Not because I don't like IR, I just haven't gotten around to using it.

With your shot, if you look at it, the pine tree and the steeple are the brightest things in the shot. I think if you eliminated the pine, the white steeple would have even more dynamic impact. To me including the pine tree isn't that bad of an idea, its just that because its the only vegetation thats really bright, it has started to battle with the steeple for subject domination in the overall photo.

Thats just how my eyes see it. I really do like the shot regardless. Sorry I didn't comment on it sooner.

sometimes ya get what ya get and ya gotta be happy with what ya got........every photo can't be a masterpiece

my thoughts exactly about the this type of vegetation,it shows up so cool and I think that a good IR photo can be defined as one that gives perception of fantasy and a pinetree this time of year does that better then any single object I can think of... thanks
