We had to make some settings change on the video card. Have no idea why it worked initially, however! Image isn't the greatest, but it beats havving a group of people hover around a desktop monitor. If you haven't tried this, make sure you set your monitor resolution to 800 x 600 (or 640 x 480) otherwise you won't fit all the desktop contents on the screen.

Isabel, I have hooked my Toshiba Satellite 1905-S301 via S video cable to our big screen 54" and it works fine. My monitor set up is 1024X768. I have an ATI card.-Tisya

What kind of graphics card do you have? On my Sony I have an ATI and you have to go into the settings and and hit advanced in the settings tab. Then go to displays and enable the TV output.

Does the whole desktop fit on your screen...Dell said 800 x 600 or
640 x 480 to fit it all on.
Thanks for the input.

It was a letter box/VCD format. But I bet if the movie is full screen it will also show as full screen. Pictures from CD (.jpg) plays on DVD also works fine as full screen. If I remember right, yes my whole desktop fit the screen. I know at work our training dept is using power point via laptop connected to projector (I think big screen uses projector) via S-video.
