The Pope goes fishing ...

I've had my newest PC for close to a year now, and I never bothered to put up any wallpaper.....until I saw your picture.

I hope you don't mind....if you do; I'll respectfully delete it. It just seems so innocuous to right-click and then click "set as background."

Anyway, incredible shot. I can't wait for summer.....won't hit the Marlins, but the dolphins better watch out (again...the fish, not flipper).

Fished up Cape York a few years ago. Just catchin' Bluefin Tuna, Baramundi, Mangrove Jack and Queenies. (Catch and Release).

Love that blue water... don't see much in Bangkok... hehe

...at first I was going to say...Gotta love that 1ds...or the 100-400 lens, but that was really a Bullsh*t thought.

It is just a damned fine picture by a damned fine photographer.

Some of your Model shots I can take or leave...as might be expected with all that you post, and most are from a commercial setting.

But the Color and Captured Action in this image is really outstanding!

It is the The Perfect Moment.

In fact I'd love as much to see more of your natural lighting shots outside as from your studio, (I've got enough pictures of my own of the lovely female form).

As I search my mind, I think I'm a little testy over this picture of yours. I really do like your model images...But this one, this one postively makes me green with envy....lol

Great work again from the Pope.

Best Wishes,

Traveller

No crop no adjustments simple conversion and resize in Capture One and 120% USM in PS and conversion to SRGB.

Used a 100-400 L .... don't do horizons ...it was a rough day on the water and I shot what I saw ...
This is a fabulous shot, Paul. Is it cropped? If not, you might
consider flattening the horizon if you don't loose any of the
fish's pointy nose. Also, what lens did you use? 70-200 L IS?

Third best marlin picture I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them. Makes me want to get out there on the water again. Great job.

easy Canons are to use when you can snag this baby and still pick up the Canon with a 100-400 and take a quick snap while he's in the air and then place it gently down and continue preparing for the tagging......

legend!!!
