Hello all,
Please overlook composition as it was really cold!
All shot handheld during a brisk walk along the canal with 70-200mm F2.8.

Hi Tim,
I like these ! The deserted look.
Nice Images !

These images are razor sharp! I really like the 2nd one because of the brick columns and the shadows.

It is an honor to be noticed by one of the long-term members.
Thanks.

Afternoon sun was strong, but I was more concerned about what the lens could do as it was my first time using the Nikon 70-200mm F2.8 VR.
Thanks.

Thanks Jenny I think the lens is a keeper. Would have love to have had a wider lens for those shots, but got a similar effect from a telephoto.
Appreciate you stopping by.

If I didn't know better, I swear that those pics were taken in Indianapolis, IN.

I used to rollerblade down there every night when I lived there. Beautiful place to hang out, especially with a pretty gal. :)
Lived there for about 10 years.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but that's Indy, right???

LOL.

Thanks Andrew. You always wonder the first time you use a new lens. The sun was too bright to see anything clearly on LCD (S2 cam) while shooting, but after getting home I was pleasantly pleased.

Absolutely. In fact I passed a few skateboarders along the way. It is one of the beauties of this place.

LOL. Too bad Jenny Sanders does not live here :) (no offense intended Jenny)

Hello Paul,

Thanks for sharing. Do tell where this canal is located in your gallery. I love the waterways and envy all that live near such bodies.

You captured the water reflections well Paul. Did you ride in the boats?
