Availability of S602Z Pro?

Why can't I find the S602Z Pro for sale on any site? It always
comes up as the old S602 only. Am I missing something?

Same camera..

Save a few bucks, Get the S602, use the 2/10 timer as a cable release substitute, and a Hotshoe/Pc syc adapter as an sync connection. Then go out and buy yourself an 55-55 adapter tube and skylight filter.

OK, your point is well taken but the question remains: why can't I find the S602Z Pro listed anywhere? (including Fuji's own website?)

I've been asking this same question, but no one has answered it.

I only see it on non-US sites and I believe that I read on a UK site that Fuji has decided not to sell it in the US to compete with the FinePix model. But that's only waht I've read and I'm waiting for someone to tell me otherwise.

It is in Fuji's website,

if you open
http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/fujidc/product/inform/serious.html

you will find a link to the S602 Pro Zoom (There is no such thing as S602 Zoom Pro, though, never heard any)

Direct link:

The SE also does NOT have the microdrive that the PRO comes with in
Europe. The PRO (Europe and Far East?) and SE (Canada) are NOT
available in the U.S.

Jack
True, but still the same camera as pro, though their is not microdrive. That canadian shop ships to U.S., and with rather reasonalbe shipping rates. Like I said, you don't get a warranty.

True, but the Fuji Microdrive/Battery Kit is available for 150CDN after rebate now.

I wonder how much the full Pro model costs in Europe. The SE is only 50.00 CDN more than the non-pro.

I ordered a 602 yesterday ($443 @ cameratopia.com) I never see 55-55 tubes offered as a 602 accessory, only 55-52. How do I find 602 55-55mm filters and venders that I know will be compatable?

Hey RCS

I you buy Fuji accessories (e.g. tele or wide angle), you'll get the 55-55mm adapter included!
Kenko also makes a 55-55 (and a 55-52).

What I see these days is that the 55-55 is quite scarce in the US (unlike here in Europe).

The general opinion is to stick to the 55-55 as much as possible, as a consequence it is best to get 55mm accessories (most filters come in 52 or 55 flavour anyway). If you get 52mm accs and you have the 55-55 tube you can always get a stepdown ring.

You'll find lots of filters etc on http://www.2filter.com and you'll get extra info at http://www.marius.org/fuji602faq.php
