Should wait until summer to do this but what's a few frozen fingers.

I don't know if the frame is doing it any good but I have just started on Bud Guinn's actions and anything that moves I try to figure out how to put a frame around it - the actions are mind boggling and I am in awe of how Bud does it.

C2100, Hand held, just guessed at the overlap, Polarizer, no tweaking, just cropped and resized, three pictures stitched with The Panorama Factory.

Your comments will be appreciated.

I'd like to see the same shot taken at night also... LOL... Or even during late dusk when the sky might still have some lightness, while the buildings still have the lights on.... Or at night with heavy, low cloud cover that reflects the city lighting.... If you're gonna freeze your fingers off, ya might as well do it thoroughly... LOL

I'm really enjoying these pano's folks have been showing lately. I'm definitely going to experiment with that a lot as soon as I get a decent digicam.

One suggestion -- if you can get your hands on a chain saw, you might want to remove a few of those trees and re-shoot it. Wait -- scratch that suggestion. I don't want you getting thrown in jail. I need you around to fine me some CC Classic! ;-)

. . . now all I gotta do is figure out the proper way to magnify the minimum to effect the focal length of the magnification, independent of the range factor . . .

Sounds like a great idea but I'll pass until June or July when I've thawed out.

Thanks

Beautiful panorama. Totally seamless. I've done one but mine was kinda blurry after the software stitched it together. I

t's going to be in the 60's here today in the mountains of southern WV. Eat your heart out :)

You did great C.C. Makes me kind of miss the area after all these years but don't miss the snow and cold. 78 here in Tampa right now.

Thanx for sharing

... especially for handholding and using a polarizer. Polarizers can be problematic in panos (look at me, I'm alliterating!)

Very nice pano CC, but I think the frame detracts.
Maybe something in a darker wood?

I love the panos CC, and that's a particularly nice one. I keep wishing I had some snow but I'll settle for it pics like yours.

I couldn't make up my mind about which frame to use as I'm just learning how to do them and I sure will try a darker one.

Thanks.

I probably should have been a little clearer with my comment.

I found the light colored frame competing with the image for my eye's attention. I think a darker color would be more of a complement, and make the image stand out.

Hi: I have changed the frame to a Rose Matte which is darker as Inigo recommended. Does it look better? This is neat as trying to get the size of the frame right took quite a bit of doing and that's what I love about these suggestions as it gets you off your butt to learn how to do it better.

Thanks

. . . as to why you're having trouble getting the frame the right size when using Bud Guinn's actions. You just select your photo, and then run the action and the sizing is "automatic", isn't it? That's how it seems to work for me . . .

I think your shot looks good with both frames, but I think I do prefer the second one.

Hi:

Beacon this is the frame you get by clicking okay to every dialogue box. I did not like this because of all the white so I keep going back and played with all the numbers for the height & width. It's neat because you have "millions & millions" of combinations but takes time until you are satisfied - yeah right!!! Bud Guinn truly is amazing to dream this action plug in.
