Dimage 7 upgraded camera and CF Cards - speed limit

Have an upgraded Dimage 7. Getting confusing with different CF card speeds. Have noticed a nice drop in prices of CF cards up to 512meg size. What is the fastest my camera can handle? If I go over that speed...no benefit...could damage the camera in any way? Have emailed Minolta, no answer. Thanks in advance.

"could damage the camera in any way ?"

Think not. In the very worst case the combo will not work properly but camera damage is beyond my imagination. If it was a matter of life or death I would be satisfied only with 100% sure, but in this case close to 100 is enough for me. In short: I would dare to give it a try.

The D7u seems to be particularly finicky about cards. I have three Sandisk cards (including an Ultra) as well as a Lexar 4x. I find that the Lexar works best with the D7u, and use the Sandisks only in my Canon.
