10D Canadian Pricing??

Sorry, but 2470 including post and taxes from Ritz
Nicole
I contacted CameraCanada and price is not yet fixed for Canada. He
will email me as soon as he will know. If the price is not similar
or near US, I will be obliged to buy from US. I tried to buy from
Ritz and the price in Canadian including shipping and tax was $2285.
Hope we will get this price here

Potential immigrant from Minolta here. Might as well go for the
homerun and equip the 10D with a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS. Who amongst
the Canadian retailers (incl. Camera Canada) can beat B&H's pricing
of US$ 1700 in C$?
The lowest I've seen in Toronto is $2850 for that lens, cash, in stock and ready for pickup. That's still a bit more expensive than US$1700 + shipping, but then I'm dealing with a local store in person which usually means less hassle and more haggle for me. ;-) Or you might consider the Sigma 70-200/2.8 for under $1300. Also, it takes me 20 minutes to walk to Henry's or Downtown Camera... that's gotta be worth something compared to a 2-day shipment from the U.S. ;-)

Has anyone in Canada got comfirmed pricing on the 10D?
I checked with the 3 major photo stores in Vancouver and all suggested to call back in a week or 2 as they had not received any info. from Canon as to prices, etc. I will follow up and appreciate any further info from you folks in Toronto.

Try camera canada (by phone ) they were within $40 US of the grey 70-200IS B&H price last year when I phoned.

Also, does the 10D come with a vertical grip?

Thanks.
Has anyone in Canada got comfirmed pricing on the 10D?
I don't think anyone has pricing or availability confirmed yet.
From what I heard, I'm guessing it will be advertised for $2699 to
$2999 on retailer web sites, but I expect to be able to talk them
down to $2400. :) I noticed Henry's no longer lists the D60, but
Vistek still shows it for $3499 (!). Nothing on Downtown Camera's
or Aden Camera's sites yet. Camera Canada has a $0 entry for the
10D, and their site allows you to add it to your shopping cart at
that price. ;-)

Photographic equipment has no duties. There's going to be a $5 or similar broker charge for the administration fee. But no duty applies. Just make sure the shipper specifies the content's classification correctly.
