Poor Alf... :> (

(No offence to any C-730 owners, just couldn't resist a little fun poke back at Alf for his last thread trashing people with an older camera that's not the latest and greatest)...

I really have no intention of buying any of the new cameras to come out...

This was just written as a satirical commentary...hopefully I'm not the only one who sees the humor in it...

I'm still trying to figure out the dang thing's MAGNIFICATION! LOL

I just want to learn, well, EVERYTHING!

I've always looked up to you and your photographic abilities. This however is a new low... I mean stooping to Alf's level and all . With
all that has transpired in this forum in recent weeks ...and now this
type of behaviour...I don't understand...

It's only shooting at 7.6x magnification, after all! Sheesh . . .

Well, maybe with the TC . . .

That reminds me . . . I've been pondering IS systems. Does that mean that the LENS somehow stabilizes the image, or is it more of a computer algorithm . . . oh, NEVER MIND! ;-)

It looks to me , that the UZI , it will be super popular for another 10 years from now .. :-))))

Bragging rights for the next 10 years !! Better than money !! But not better than sex !! hehehehehe

do not misunderstand me - the C2100 is an excellent camera! i used to have one myself... BUT it is only 'super popular' among the ones that are 'super obsessed' by it - most of us others have discovered that other cameras ACTUALLY exists...

..hummmm.....not better than sex,you say...

Both UZI and sex have a lot in common.

1)Both need a good subject to be motivated and to get excited.

2)Correct settings or foreplay are very important to take a good shot.

3) Any accessories is welcome and in some cases it's necessary to spice up.

4)You need a power. This is where UZI excells. You can carry extra power source to make sure it'll last long enough to finish your job.

5)Post processing. Here's another area where UZI excells. Unless it's soooo bad,you can fix the image to your tastes and make it better, like nothing happened.

Just my goofy thought. :)

LOL. I was expecting someone to post this thread. I got some good laughs out of Alf's (aka. OrbBoy) other thread. What a nut he is, or maybe someone created "Alf" just to stir up controversy. He is pretty unbelieveable.

My philosophy is , that in the area of the computer parts and input devices , when the technology comes to the point to actually deliver one acceptable in performance product , then i just stop looking further .

By the same way, that i am satisfied with my SONY 19 " monitor ,or my Epson USB scanner , i am also satisfied with the C2100 .

Do i make plans to trash my monitor or scanner just for fashion ? No , Ok the same goes about my C2100 .

All the devices that i own , is high quality , with above the average power in productivity , i am happy about my camera , but i am more than happy and proud for the total , the total is one , multi-functional and rock stable workstation , computer system .

Hide, your list left out probably the 2 most endearing qualities of the Uzi;

1) The 10x zoom which brings that small distant subject up close to fill the LCD, and

2) The infamous " IS" that enables the user to keep sharp focus on the subject at hand.

Too tempting not to reply, we need goofy thoughts that lighten up on some of the more ardent lovers of their cameras. Yes I love my Uzis and I am the proud owner of an "old" 720. But that is not the core of my existence. Keep smiling :> ))
