Hey E10'ers gonna jump to Canon soon?

Superior build quality?????
Yes much better fit and finish than Oly.

LOLOL!!! I did'nt know the plastic
fantastic of the D60/D100's were superior to the metal construction
of the Exx.
It has a mag metal and stainless body MORON!

Thanks for that heads up. The last two sentences are
not meant for the ironically challenged by the way.
so many lenses you can use, Dust is not much of an issue with CMOS,
Superior build quality, and so on.
Drags knuckles to cave holding E10 club and out of focus image.

LOL, drop your D60 from 10 feet on concrete MORON, I dare you too.

I was also referring to the build qualities of the D100/D60 as compared to the Exx. There is no comparison. The D's are made like toys, the E's are built like tanks. If preferring a more robust body makes me a caveman, then I'll gladly live and stay in my Oly cave. In the meantime, Dickus-Erectus, I get no OOF images and I'm perfectly happy with my Exx and the money I'm saving from buying overpriced lenses.

"Dust is not much of an issue with CMOS?" What do you mean by that? Why would you think that dust is less of an issue with a CMOS sensor than with a CCD?

And BTW, dust is NO ISSUE at all with the Exx.

Actually Todd, the clown does have a slight point there, regardless of the fact he's still mainly clueless.

CMOS sensors do not attract dust particles as easily as CCD's do. They are less electrostatically charged.

the 10D is over twice the price when you include a lens, image quality from the samples I've seen are equal, build quality about the same, features and AF (claimed to be) better. Sorry, but I'll need more than that to make a switch and lose over a thousand dollars.

If the price was closer maybe, but the exx is still the best bang for the buck for a serious digital photographer interested more in results than marketing hype.

But in a year or so either Canon or Nikon will produce a 6mp full frame pro bulid quality SLR for less than a grand ... and by then the exx will certainly be showing it's age.

Jim,

You know, funny how the Exx were just fine guys until yesterday and now all of a sudden they're junk. If they were great cameras 2 days ago they're still great cameras. What's gonna happen when the next "super camera" comes down the pike???? Dust will always be an issue when you expose the inner workings of your camera to open air and don't think it won't happen!!! Don't be so hypocritical moron...now poof..off you go the canon forum...

My E-10 has served me well. On the other hand, I've been a Canon user since as long as I can remember. I still own two AE-1s and numerous Canon lens that I can probably use with the 10D using and FD/AF adapter. With the 10D, it would be like using my AE-1 35mm SLR again, but in a digital format. I can't wait to purchase the 10D, and the price is just right.

With the introduction of the Canon 10D at 1499.00 D60's will be
close to 1200.00 very soon. You won't believe the diffrence. I sold
my E10 two months ago and havent looked back. The E10 was a super
camera but it's very dated now. I'm holding out for the rumored 1.3
FOV EOS 3 digital that may come at PMA or at the Fall show. It's
gonna be a year of change for many. I'd sell your E10 now or keep
it as a back up if you have the $.
From what little I have seen, I wouldn't think about changing e-10 for canon (probably would keep e-10 anyway) until I see the Pentax offering. Sounds like for me it would be no contest (Pentax vs canon) Pentax is smaller, handier, takes regular AA's, lenses are available everywhere, at super prices, and besides I have several setting in the camera drawer right beside me.
