Looking for the best deal on the PS 7 upgrade for windows. Lowest I have found so far is $136 from Dell. If anyone knows of someplace else I should look pass it along.

Thanks

Dave

Hi,

It's heresy to say it but the best deal for PS7 is on Kazaa. I've been happily using it, and I got it 2 weeks before it was officially announced. Of course I don't have a retail box or manuals, but who needs that :P

on your copy of PS7.

But I have to give it to you -- not a lot of people have the cojones to stand up and yell:

Me, I'd rather keep my honor and integrity.

I just bought a Mac version for $119 + a $15 rebate at Zones.com. I would guess the Windoze version to be the same.

So I can come over an take anything I want ??
Actually, I have that too, it works perfectly. Would you like a copy?

I was not supporting this. And, have not done this. I was just answering the question. The cheapest price upfront for the product is the lowest. And, unless you are working for the government, zero is the lowest cost you can get.

But, anyone that works at Adobe can check the peer to peer downloading utilities and pull support for the Serial Numbers of the products they find. And even find who originally registered those versions.

They can even do what Microsoft has done. Force registration on the user to protect MS software from being pirated. With Windows XP and Office XP, the registration is forced onto the user that installs the software. And, this happens with every occurance you install (or reinstall) it. And, Microsoft maintains a DB of all the registrations and tracks how many times a specific serial number is installed. If they number goes up to high it sets off a flag. See, if WIndows XP is not registered within 14 days of installation it does not work and will no let you into the OS until you register it. Then, if the flag is tripped on MS DB, then it will revote you privileages to complete the registration process. Also, when you register it, it sends a hardware key with all the hardware on the system it is installed onto. So, Microsoft knows what hardware is on your PC as well. SO, they can see how many different systems a specific serial number is on.

No, I was stating that, they probably do not have the MAP price for the product yet. As they do on the EOS 10D. The original poster of that thread was stating that he thought the price was too high at a MSRP of $1,299. Which is not what Ritz will eventually be selling it for. Because they will be the only one selling it at that price. Becasue B&H and Adorama and every local shop will have it at MAP not MSRP. Plus, I do not see why he is complaining, the guy works at Ritz. Can he not get some kind of employee deal on the lens while he is working there. If he can, we should all be complaining because he can get it cheaper than we can. Plus, he might be able to get demos from the manufacturer.

and let me retract the "looser" comment as it appears you weren't really condoning software piracy... but I still kind of view your original "answer" as the equivalent of telling someone the cheapest way to get a car is to go carjack one... poor taste if nothing else.
