Excellent shot!

I have a bunch of Cokin filters I haven't touched for years. Maybe it's time to have a little fun with them again.

Uh, oh. Way past my time here. So much to do, so little time.

825207 yellow flower

I would love to make some blowups of these two shots. Any chance you can send me the files. Ofcourse I would like your credits (in bold) in the frame.
Thanks. I love the darkness quality to them.

Ps. I used to have a huge bush in the back yard with the pale blue flowers, I just didn't know what they were, Plumbago right? It was the first thing I always shot each time I got a new lens or camera.

Its about what you do with any stuff you have.

First be thankful you have it! Second, Do great things with it.
If you have to shoot stuff like this to qualify buying the 10D,
then I don't.

this is stuff I shoot, the 6mpxls resolution helps.

Falling behind schedule but . . .

How do you know you aren't? A few tips that might help (don't know for sure).

Know your camera (I don't mean every single thing about it) so you can use it as an extension of your mind. In other words get to know it so you don't think of it as equipment but as an extension of your own self or vision. This way you can become more conscious of the subject than the equipment.

There are a lot of potential pics "hiding in plain sight". Learn to spot them. They are all around.

Sometimes the right combination of light and shadow can transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Learn to "see" not only with your eyes but with your heart. Feel for the subject (I still don't know how to put that into words, sorry).

An excellent book that has been a help and inspiration for me is Derek Doeffinger's, "The Art of Seeing".

I hope something here will be helpful. Don't forget. It takes time and practice.
