Thanks Eric,

It seem that you been to The Singapore Botanical Garden and took some IR pictures with your D7 too. I saw your IR photo at Bryan's Forum its very well composed and it looks like a painting due to its grainy effect. Are the grains natural and caused by high ISO?

I took one of the same subject as yours, but I still like your composition with more trees framing it. Here it is, if you have not seen it:

Hope to meet you one day in Singapore.
Best regards
Ruan

Well my D7 arrived. I have read the manual and taken a bunch of getting familiar with the camera shots. I have the R72 and I am getting ready to try it out. I have not applied the upgrade.

Questions are: Do I need photshop to get IR? How much are the IR pictures that apepar on this thread manipulated after they came out of the camera?

Thanks.....Myke

You don't need photoshop. I do a lot of my work in PaintShop Pro 7...some in Corel PhotoPaint9....still others in a simple little program called Photo-Brush (no layers in this one...mostly for simple leveling and dark/light balancing) ....depends on what mood I'm in and the effect I'm after.

Congratulation on receiving your D7. You will not regret owning one, especially this one with IR capability.
