A couple of weeks ago I ordered a D60 from Broadway Photo. Okay, everyone here knows they are scam artists, but I didn't. The price was a few hundred cheaper than anywhere else (duh). I immediately got the bait and switch email that "there is a problem with your order... please call". Now suspicious, I called and only asked one question... "Does this come with a US warranty?" Of course not. They added that it also does not have a battery or a battery charger. I told them to cancel the order. They did.
I went to a great store called the Houston Camera Exchange to bite the bullet and pay retail. To their credit they told me they did have 2 D60's but that they had been discontinued and I probably shouldn't buy one yet. (That's why I love this shop and have been a customer for 10 years).
That is when I discovered the wonderful world of DPReview forums and have learned a ton. Thank you all for the education I have been receiving.
Anyway, the point is... with a deposit down I am #2 in line for my 10D at Houston Camera Exchange and can't wait! Huury up Canon!
