Hi All,

I just bought a Viking 1 GB Compact Flash card for $215 (after rebate), which is one of the best prices I've ever seen for a card of this size and speed. It's at Amazon, if anyone is shopping. Has anyone else found any great deals on CF cards? I prefer CF over MicroDrive, and the D100 can really use up a 1 GB card quickly.

Ideas?

ecost.com has a card of 1GB for $199 (after a rebate). I think prices would soon drop bellow the $200 for all 1GB, when the new 2 and 3GB and 4GB MD roll out in a few weeks.

I saw that ecost.com card, but it was generic...

I've used a lot of Viking cards, and they are plenty fast. To me, that was worth the extra $$$.

A 4GB card???? That'll be very nice.

It is not generic product. The company that sells it (GVP) will send you the original card from either Sandisk or Viking or any of the reputable manufacturers that would give them the best deal and you get a 5 year warranty on it + ecost would reimburse you in case it doesn't work. I think you can safely buy it and save your extra $$$.
