Looking forward to your opinion RustySam. It is good to see someone who actually owns one posting their opinion.
I have had my F100 for about 4 months and I am very happy with it. As with all digital photos they all benefit from a tweak or two in Photoshop or similar.

PROS:
Very good averall image quality.
Sharped and very well defined images and colors.
Noise Reduction system for long exposures.
Very responsive (Large memory buffer).
User Interface is a pleasure.
And afterall, a great design !
CONS:

- Sometimes - a little bit noisier at ISO200-400 for indoor shots without flash. Depends on the scene and luminosity.

I'm a new user of F300.
I find that its flash is too bright and sometime the background environment becomes quiet dark.
Could anyone tell me the solution ?
However, I enjoy using this camera because it is very small and light and functions well.

For tackling the indoor shots without flash,
I'd tried to set the white balance manually against a white paper/object so that I could get a very good result and the photo was just like taken at the day time.
If you try to do so, you will find that is better than both the preset and auto white balance function.

I had previously tried with a preset Wahite Balance but never with a manual one. I will try this this week-end.
Obviously, i found overall image quality amazing for the F300 !
