I would like to know if there is anyone out there who has experience with this combination. It come to my attention that the camera has a general habit of not focusing on the exact point as marked in the viewfinder (confirmed by Popular Photography in the test of many of the autofocus systems found in todays SLR's), but I am concerned to the extent that it is evident on this combination and the surprisingly great lack of depth of feild unless stopped down to f/8 for portrait work.

I wish to know if there is any one else who has noted this. I have sold this lens to numerous D60&D30 users and not to mention countless film shooters, but this is the first time I have seen this style of result as it would seem. If you could help with any information or experiences of a similar nature please let me know.

I am having serious focusing problems with my S2+Sigma 15-30+Sigma AF flash.
Group shots in particular. I am getting a focus confirmation light before shooting but the resulting shot is unacceptably out of focus.
Closer pics are perfectly sharp.
