Canon 3D briefly appears on B&H site....

I'm not concerned about the price at all, if the specs are up to what I need. Just waiting to see if its real and if so, what the frame rate is. 8fps or better would do it for me.

No offence, but I'd love to know why you would want 8fps on a 46MP camera.

Any comment that starts with "No offense..." usually is just that - offensive, so please just say what you mean.

However, to answer your question, I shoot plenty of fast action stuff in the studio. A high frame rate and high megapixel count would obviate the need to compromise on one or the other - going faster with a smaller file (1D series) or slower but with a larger file (5D series)

To be considered reliable. Doesn't mean it's false, only that I wouldn't place significant sums on it being true just yet. We can all hope, though, right?

Well, that's just what I said - Here's hoping its real! :) I'll be pleasantly surprised if it is, but if not, then we're just where we are now.

Man, some people will believe anything.

No kidding... all those people who believe in religion are a pretty strong example of that! But hey, at least we know cameras actually exist and its perhaps possible that Canon is producing a high megapixel body.

As I said originally, I hope (not, "It Is") true.

Your reply is offensive. I did say what I meant, I was genuinely curious but felt the question could be taken wrong. That didn't seem to do any good. Sheesh!

So you've proven your own statements true - simply just say what you mean and stop using qualifiers such as "No offense..." because as I said, it does exactly that, offend. Education, look into it, please.

You just don't get it. Too bad.

forum gods like that never do

i'd love to know what high speed action shots you shoot in the studio are though.

I shoot high speed product shots with an 80mp mf that only has a 1 fps rate.. go figure
