What is the best way to upload pictures to a website, ie. shutterfly? I have about 40 pics which exceed the limit of 10MB. Is there a quick way of reducing the entire folder rather than one at a time? It appears that PAINT only allows 1 at a time for reduction.

Irfanview is a free download and does batch conversions.

To be honest, I have found Batch size reduction to be less than satisfactory in terms of maintaining the exact image quality and detail that I wanted. I have found even color to be less than optimum at times.

What I do is create a special 'upload' version once I am done with a photo. So an image is ready for upload whenever I want. True it IS a one at a time conversion, but it is less disruptive than other methods, and I can compare the smaller version to the 'done' version.

I THINK the free organizer/viewer FastStone can do batch resizing if you want to experiment on a budget, but if you are as big a perfectionist as I am (not always a good thing!), I suspect you will try to avoid batch resizing.

Now that you've judged the quality of my typing, take a look at my photos. . .
