I know I read a while back, even looked at a product page, of a CCD cleaning stick that basically had a sticky end to pull off dust specs.

1- Has anyone used this and has it worked OK? Recommended?

2- What's it called and where to get one?

Thanks. I searched all through this thread but couldn't find a mention of this method or device. I shoot with a D1x.

Actually what your asking about is called the SpeckGrabber. It is different from the Sensor Swabs in that its a re-usable plastic stick with a sticky bluw rubber on the end of it which holds the dust. Calumet now sells them, I have never tried them but I question its quality and its ability to hold dust.
