My "new" 25mm lens - finally :-)

john that was very imformative post and pic, real world example of this combo would surely helped alot of people me included
Good; that was my only motive for posting it - I was sure I wasn't the only one in need of an affordable 25mm.
i was eyeing this lens torn apart between this or the 20 mm f1.7, i m sure the lumix 20 mm has better glass and faster but the used price of 25mm lens are so enticing
I have opinions on the Panasonic 20 not shared by the majority (I didn't like it much at all) but my first outing with the ZD25 have been very positive indeed. I'll post some samples later :-)

Very useful image, thank you.
I can see price as a factor but I see less of a concern over weight. Here is a size comparison on the GH2. Hope it works out well for you.
Well, that's why we have choices to allow for differing preferences; the weight difference is a concern for me , and that is all that matters :-)

I wanted to test its handling - how it effected the way I hold the camera - as well as general AF and other performance issues like flare. The images below are a sample of the day - all completely uncropped; I'm very impressed that I held the camera so level (when it needed to be!), I tend to tilt left if a lens is to heavy and/or unbalanced because of arthritis and some nerve damage.

The AF was fine if a bit slow, and no flare whatsoever! It works :-)
