I like it. I would have composed it differently, but it is still interesting.
 
Looks like a sci-fi set. I think Spock is hiding behind that rock...
 
I agree. Interesting effect but moving the rock to the left third and introducting barely visable rock on right side would have been a more interesting composition. Centered subjects usually don't work so well.

I didn't bring a tripod with me so I had to set the camera down on a concrete barrier. I would have liked to get more of the rocky structure to the right but the glare of the lampost would have ruined it I think. Thanks for all the comments!

cp on the lense and used a gradient filter in ACR.
And hence, not so dramatic at all.

Could you be a bit more specific about how you would have composed it differently? I'm curious to know, and this feedback could be helpful to the OP.
 
Can't say for sure unless I was there to see everything. However, the rock is in the middle and the horizon cuts the photo in half. These are things an experienced photog would not do.
