Comparison mFT12-35 to FT12-60?

I'm thinking of switching from FT to mFT. I own the 12-60 which is very good IQ-wise. Does anyone of you have this lens and the Panasonic 12-35? If so: How does the image quality at 12 mm (sharpness and contrast) compare on an mFT Body?

I saw a few examples on dslr-check.info; according to them the 12-60 is significantly (!) sharper at 12 mm wide open in the corners and even a bit sharper in the center. Has anyone made the same observations?

Thanks in advance
Frank

I've got the 12-35mm and did have the 12-60mm. There is a touch more micro-contrast on the 12-60mm which you would need to magnify to notice but the 12-35mm is more consistent throughout it's range (albeit more limited). Look at the bottom of this link for some comparisons

I am quite happy with the improvements in AF, the colour and contrast and the OIS of the 12-35mm. For m4/3's it's a worthy replacement for the 12-60mm IMHO. Of course I would like a little more range but that's the compromise and I'm happy to make it. The 12-35mm is a very nice, compact and fast lens which I use more than any other (except the 7-14mm - I'm a UWA fan). There is no other m4/3's lens like it if you want a fast, constant aperture, wide to short range zoom. It's very flare resistant as well.

If Olympus can match the ft 12-60 quality in an m43 version it has a winner. It was very sad not to see an m43 12-60 announced at Photokina. Hopefully Olympus will not wait too long because once everyone who wants a 12-60 f/2.8-4 has given up and bought the Panasonic 12-35 instead they lose the business opportunity.
