##### The Weekly Landscape Thread 6 sept. 2012#####

Dang, the hills where I kayak are a lot smaller! Really love the second shot. (But the dog is more adorable.) ;)

Thanks, it was actually fairly warm, there was a lot of rain the night before and the clouds just hadn't cleared out. The weekend right before was wonderful though, spent 3 days on Cape Cod. I'll have to see if there are any good photos from then.
Nice cityscape and beachshot from last fall Becky. It already looked pretty cold in Boston for 9 sept or do my eyes diseave me?

Love the light on the beach.

Thank you. I have to say I am not really happy with the rock wall as the first element of the recession. I think the sfumato, however is about right. I hope to keep trying this kind of shot till I get one that really does capture the feeling I have for these gentle nurturing mountains. I've lived in the Rockies as well and found them have beauty of a titanic and inhuman scale. Beautiful, awesome, but unforgiving and cruelly inhospitable.

It is said that silliness is a double blessing for it both sheds authority and discomforts the up tight.

Nice composition Maarten: I find the sky draws my eyes to the right and the river to the left... that leaves me immersed in the panorama! I like it!

This picture reminds me of a road I was on a couple of weeks ago while driving from Laramie to Eagle... nice composition and the shades of green are stunning. I'm sad to see the dead trees. Thanks for posting!

Leave it to you, Bruno, to do a photo landscape of a landscape of photos! Clever! And nicely done. Thanks!

You're starting to really flex with that new LX7 Dez. Nice - I never tire of viewing the NYC skyline from whatever perspective, thanks for posting. I notice the new big enclosure on the Intrepid's deck. I guess that's the new Space Shuttle exhibit?
