Actually, "smaller is better". Looking forward to E-M5 successor. /

That's a rather cryptic post from you, Brian. Did I miss something in another thread?

By the way, I like smaller too as long as the results are big. ;)

Cheers!

. . . I've always liked smaller. Sold my FF DSLR because it was bigger.

i'm just preparing a fly to put into the ointment

Thread is like Haiku--
My imagination soars.
What does Brian mean?

No E-M5 purchase, then, I take it ? Has the monochromatic Leica MM dented your bank account ?

Concur! That was real genius.

Olympus ads so suck--
But that one makes me smile.
Gotta love Dire Straits.

I think it's just a jerky comment based on the rumors that the GH3 will be bigger than the GH2. Like most of the Oly fanboys, he can't understand that one size doesn't fit all, and that what he thinks is best might not appeal to everyone else in the same way.

This forum is full of people who seem to think there mission in life is to force everyone else make everyone else believe in what they believe, and deny those who disagree a choice.

I've stopped thinking in terms of "equivalent" focal lengths on m43. 25mm is what it is, and what it might be similar to on some other format doesn't matter to me any more. We need to learn what to expect from our current equipment, not keep mapping it to the old. No one refers to their 50mm FF lens as "equivalent to 80mm on MF."

with one stone -

1. It'll be their bridge camera for their upcoming entry into the DSLR market (GH4?)...

2. They will capture all the point and shoot social network-addicted youngsters...

Brian, you're on to something.

I'm also on the fence. Still with the E-PL2. Waiting for the next generation of PENs/GX2 in order to find a smaller and cheaper body.

Indeed it is. I am looking forward to an E-PM1 replacement with the E-M5 sensor. I suspect I will use it more than the E-M5!

As for the GH3 - I made my choice so I really don't care how good it is now, the OM-D is here, paid for, and quite sufficient. But I wonder if it will have two dials and licence Oly's flash system? Those were my complaints about the good old GH2.
