CC please on this photo

I think it could be an interesting photo. However, it is too dark for my taste and I find the green cast quite unappealing.

Hi Keane,
Before everything .. Sorry for my weak English.
I appreciate your opinion and happy. And I would like to clarify the following:

The Pic is to Istanbul. Istanbul, an ancient historic city, I think the green cast gives a sense of the past. I do not know if I'm wrong, but I think this.
Sorry, I don't see any reason to put a green cast on such an image. Is there any rationale behind it?
Is the green cast intentional?
Hi Keane,
Yes it is, is intentional

Thank you very much

I'm red/green colorblind, so I can't really see a green cast (there are a few places it seems green but not everywhere).

With that out of the way, I really like the tall temple and near minarets, but find the outer minarets and lone minaret on the far left to be a little unbalancing. I wish the rounded dome on the far left were more prominently a part of the composition (or gone).

I'd prefer light coming from a lower angle (and probably with just a little more contrast in the shadow areas because in my view the city waking up was the most powerful motif in the image).

I think it's an excellent picture. For some reason, images viewed in DPReview threads don't always look that good to me, but downloaded to my desktop and viewed with FastStone, your image looks great. I can't think of a thing I'd change, whether of composition, exposure, angle of lighting, shadow detail, and so on. If there is a color cast, it certainly does not detract from my enjoyment of the picture, and maybe it's a help.

You said you gave it a green cast intentionally. How was this accomplished? Is there another version without the green cast you could post for comparison, or was this more a matter of leaving a color cast the camera captured (and you left uncorrected) rather than post-processing to add a color cast?

However it was done, I love the picture!

Hi nelsonal ,
Thank you for the comment and notes

Minaret and the dome in the far left I can't crop without affecting that on other details of the pic.
any other comments or ideas are appreciate

Thanks again

I wouldn't crop it, rather I'd try to take a similar photo from a good ways to the camera's left and ideally closer to the other shore or possibly further up, so the temple and minaret on the left figure more promenently in the composition with the one on the right (and smaller domed roofs in between them). That this advice may not be very feasible, so take or leave it as you see fit.

Hi Jrtrent,
My thanks and my appreciation for your comment
I am very happy because you loved the picture.

added a touch of green cast by ACDSee Pro2 to the image to increase the sense to the pic as an ancient city.
Attach an image without green cast for comparison.

Thanks for posting the picture without the green cast, and for the information about how you accomplished the greenish effect.

You had written earlier, "The Pic is to Istanbul. Istanbul, an ancient historic city, I think the green cast gives a sense of the past. I do not know if I'm wrong, but I think this." I think you're absolutely right. I normally strive to get as accurate a portrayal as my cameras allow when taking pictures, but your altered version somehow feels more correct--it really does increase the sensation of looking at an ancient city. Nicely done!

Hi Nelsonal,
Sorry for the delay reply.
thank you very much for you comments and ideas

I would like to share with you this picture of one of the minarets of the same temple.

I like that, I like it a lot! Very nice. It's sharper than, but has colors similar to a few vintage lenses.
