IBIS problems?

I finally pulled the trigger on buying an EM5 and I now notice posts regarding IBIS issues when shooting around 1/100th with certain lenses. IBIS was a big factor in my deciding on the EM5, and I would hate to start compromising on that feature. I read where Olympus acknowledges that there is an incompatibility with IBIS when using the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens (which I have) at high ISOs and that they are working on a fix, but I hadn't heard of any other issues prior to my purchase.

I would appreciate it very much if I can get opinions from users of the EM5 regarding this issue. And, if you are having problems, with what lens and shutter speed combos?

Thank you in advance.

No problems here. I think most of the problems come from the fact that people try to act as human tripods, while having IBIS on. That, or sample variation.

Never have had any problems with ibis. It's the best out there.

...another thread and I'm hoping that these issues are isolated. I do admit, however, that I do hold my Panasonic cameras steady when using (until the EM5 arrives) OIS; that is, I don't go out of my way to make movement, and I get good results.

Thank you for the reply

...I read when I was looking for feedback: every user I read applauds the IBIS on the EM5.

Thanks

I've seen one or two posts on EM5 IBIS issues.

What I've also seen, after using the EM5 since mid April, has been nothing short of astounding. Not only have I not had any problems, it has blown me away with how well it works. Shooting at 200mm, 1/60, and I'm getting sharp, blur free shots. Not one or two, every shot.

If you've already ordered an EM5, just take it out and use it. Keep in mind that these forums can, on occasion, make a mountain out of a molehill.

I've been getting blur free shots with my 28mm at 1/3....

...positive results as various shutter speeds? No, I'm not going to obsess about possibilities; I'll have the camera by Tuesday and play with it for myself. I actually can't find that many negative results regarding IBIS posted at this forum.

Thanks

I've had none of the problems it seems pretty isolated. Been nothing but amazed at how great the IBIS is.

...that some users might not be fully testing the IBIS at all shutter speeds and with various lenses, therefore they might not be aware of any issues. But, after doing some research on this subject, I expect the "real" issues are isolated cases. I guess that all great mechanical designs produce a lemon every now and again in production.
